RICH DALY JOINS TAP AS SENIOR MARKETING EXECUTIVE

LAKE FOREST, Ill., Feb. 2, 2006 - TAP Pharmaceutical Products Inc. announced that Rich Daly will be returning to TAP as vice president of marketing and commercial strategy, effective Feb. 13, 2006.

Daly, 44, will be responsible for leading the overall marketing strategy and initiatives for TAP's current and future brands - including Prevacid® (lansoprazole) and Lupron Depot® (leuprolide acetate for depot suspension), febuxostat, managed markets marketing and sales, new product planning - as well as the company's business insights/analytics function and marketing operations.

Daly began his pharmaceutical career at TAP in 1991 and rose to serve in several leadership roles, including senior marketing director.

Most recently, Daly held the position of senior vice president of marketing for Takeda Pharmaceuticals North America, located in Lincolnshire, Ill., a wholly owned U.S. subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Limited, located in Osaka, Japan. While at Takeda, Daly was a founding member of the senior leadership team that built Takeda's commercial infrastructure and successfully launched the diabetes drug Actos® (pioglitazone HCl).

Daly holds a bachelor's degree in science and microbiology from the University of Notre Dame in Notre Dame, Ind., and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill.
