TAP PHARMACEUTICAL PRODUCTS INC. SUPPORTS DISASTER RELIEF EFFORTS IN SOUTHEAST ASIA
LAKE FOREST, Ill., Jan. 11, 2005 - TAP Pharmaceutical Products Inc. announced today that it has donated $500,000 to UNICEF to support disaster-relief efforts to help victims of the tsunami in Southeast Asia.
"This is the worst natural disaster of our time, and we have all been shocked and saddened by the devastation and loss of life it has caused," said Alan MacKenzie, president of TAP. "As a health care company, we are deeply committed to helping in the efforts to restore basic services and to fight the spread of disease in the affected region. Our thoughts go out to all the victims, their loved ones and all those working on the ground to help survivors."
