TAP ANNOUNCES NEW EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT

LAKE FOREST, Ill., October 1, 2004 – TAP Pharmaceutical Products Inc., a joint venture of Abbott Laboratories and Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Limited, today announced the appointment of Glenn Warner as executive vice president, effective immediately.

Warner, 41, most recently held the position of divisional vice president and executive director of the Clara Abbott Foundation. Prior to that, Warner served in various senior-level roles for Abbott’s Diagnostics Division, including commercial director for the Hematology Business Unit, regional director and general manager of South Asia, and regional controller of Eastern Europe, Middle East, and Africa.

Warner holds a bachelor's degree in accounting and economics from Hanover College in Hanover, Ind.
