Careers FAQ

When we say we take our partnerships with our employees seriously, we mean it. This commitment is reflected in a comprehensive and outstanding package of benefits, which include:

Medical Coverage
Available to the employee upon hire. Several individually tailored plans are offered to provide comprehensive coverage for TAP employees and their dependents. Employee contributions are made on a pre-tax basis.

Dental Coverage
Two dental options are offered. Both have associated employee contributions that are made on a pre-tax basis.

Flexible Spending Accounts
These accounts allow employees to pay certain expenses with tax-free dollars. Elections for these accounts are made annually. Deposits of equal amounts are made each pay period.

Performance Bonus
This is a bonus plan based on TAP's financial performance as well as other performance factors. Employees are fully vested immediately upon hire.

Life Insurance
One times annual base salary, rounded up to the next $1,000, is provided free. Supplemental insurance equal to one, two, three, or four times annual earnings is also available.

Accidental Death Insurance
$10,000 worth of free coverage is provided. Supplemental coverage of up to 10 times base annual salary (to a maximum limit of $500,000) is also offered.

Temporary Disability
Available after 3 months of employment. Exempt employees are eligible for salary continuation benefits at full salary less payroll deductions. The maximum period of salary continuance is 26 weeks in a 52-week period.

Extended Disability
Available after 6 months of employment. Monthly benefit of 60% of first $1,667 of base pay plus 50% of excess is paid to a maximum monthly benefit of $10,000. This begins with the 27th week of disability, if approved, and may continue to age 65. Monthly benefit may vary based on employee status. Employees have the opportunity to purchase additional income protection to replace 70% of their salary, if disabled, at very affordable group rates.

Retirement Plans
An Annuity Retirement Plan (ARP) and a Stock Retirement Plan (SRP) are both available. TAP bears the total cost of the ARP and makes generous contributions to the SRP, a qualified employee stock ownership plan.

Holidays
Eleven paid holidays per year, including some personally selected days.

Vacations
Employees hired during the first quarter of the year are eligible for 3 weeks of vacation during that year. If hired during the second quarter, employees may take 2 weeks of vacation that year and if hired during the third quarter they are eligible for 1 week. All employees are then eligible for 3 weeks of vacation in years 2-11; 4 weeks for 12-24 years; 5 weeks for 25-29 years; and 6 weeks for 30 years and over.

Adoption Assistance
Adoption is a wonderful way to bring love to a child and get love back. That's why TAP believes in making adoption easier for our employees. Here's what the adoption assistance plan means: The maximum reimbursement is $10,000 and employees receive up to 2 weeks of paid time off for associated legal issues and travel.

Tuition Assistance
Reimbursement for all courses, GED, undergraduate, and graduate degrees, will be tax-free up to $5,250 per year. Graduate courses will be reimbursed up to $7,000 per year, with taxes withheld on the amount in excess of $5,250. Any unreimbursed tuition expenses may be carried over for 1 year and applied to the following year's reimbursement limit.

This is a benefits package that addresses the needs of TAP employees, not only in the present, but in the future too. It's precisely that type of long-range perspective and philosophy that makes TAP...Where You Want to Be.
